Despite the long awaited defeat of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, the structure of the Wizarding world was still crumbling beneath the pressure. Death Eaters scattered, loyalties questioned, and the grief that ran rampant through the heart of many, prevented the immediate change in Wizarding society. After years of danger the citizens of Wizarding Britain remained cautious and intimidated.

Was He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named truly gone? Would he be able to rise again? Was the Wizarding World beyond repair? Could they dare to hope for the peaceful future that was long overdue?

With Kingsley Shaklebolt as Minister of Magic and Harry Potter taking a spot among the Aurors, Witches and Wizards everywhere began to emerge from behind locked and warded doors: to slowly return the full lives that had become distant memories of the past. The economy flourished, population increased, and most importantly a peaceful atmosphere was finally established.

It has been almost seven years since the passing of Tom Riddle. The Wizarding world has prospered, building upon the ruins of the old, but just as the past has been littered with war and heartache, so shall the future. As the year 2005 dawned on the Wizarding world, a new threat darkened the doorstep of the Wizarding world. It isn't Muggleborns or Half-bloods being targeted. Not this time. This time Purebloods are falling beneath the onslaught of discrimination. Threatening letters and words written in blood have appeared at several Pureblood homes and popular Wizarding establishments, all signed with the same cryptic signature.

The Society for the Destruction of Pureblood Supremacy is an organization of individuals who remember what it was like to be prosecuted for being born with Muggle blood flowing through their veins. These individuals find the new measures taken by the Ministry of Magic to be far more lenient than what they should be.

Many died during the last war because their blood was not pure, and it is believed by SDPS that the only successful measure to prevent it from happening again is to remove the threat from the equation: the complete destruction of the Pureblood families.

The Ministry of Magic has taken precautions and the Department of Magical Law Enforcement investigation in under full swing. Unfortunately, little is known about this organization. Their attacks are done by Muggle means, which leaves to room to trace a source of Magic. Letters continue to arrive and blood continues to be shed. The only way to stop the cycle is to find the source, but how long will it take to discover? Will it be too late?

They even have children. And just like humans, those children go to school. School however, isn’t always as just classes and homework. Strange old castles often have far more lurking about them than is so readily apparent. Ancient curses have been set loose on the school. Memory loss. Sickness. Power switching... Was it an accident? Or are more sinister plans afoot? Unanswered questions abound as the students and staff first try and understand exactly what has happened to them... Welcome to Halcyon Halls. Post Bellum RPG

Exactly one year, two weeks and two days after the final fall of Lord Voldemort, the wizarding world finds itself in a transition period. Minister of Magic Kingsley Shacklebolt places harsher restrictions on witches and wizards all over Britain. Though Hogwarts needs no further rebuilding, some restoration is still needed.

With so many changes, the British wizarding community must repair and reform their way of life or be forced back into hiding, only this time it will be from Muggles, if not from each other. Before the Trio and the other seventh and eighth year students can take on adulthood, they have to pass N.E.W.T.s, find places to live, begin apprenticeships for jobs in the future, all while adapting to new responsibilities and newfound freedoms.

As the new graduates head out into the real world, they encounter stricter laws while using magic, challenging situations in internships and apprenticeships, and even more bends and breaks along the road of reconstruction. In this post bellum society, shifts in government, jobs and societal reorganization are expected. But will the unexpected make the world go round or will it make the world stand still?

post_bellum is a brand new Post-War, Post-Deathly Hallows, non-Epilogue compliant Harry Potter Role-Playing Game.

This game starts May 19, 2008.

Its been One Annual since the defeat of the evil witch and DG, Glitch, Cain & Raw helped to save the O.Z. Queen Ozmmea has taken her rightful place on the throne and has restored her most loyal advisor with the other half of his brain, gaining back her Ambrose. The once powerful and evil sorceress Azkadellia has been restored to her rightful place as princess, but she has not survived the ordeal without a few screws lose. DG has also taken her place as princess, and is being groomed for the throne, as soon as her mother can get her wild roaming mind to stop trying to find a new adventure around every corner. Cain and Jed have taken up protection detail of the castle, making sure the Royal Family’s new rule will be undisturbed by any lingering undesirables that may be out there trying to harm them. Raw was sent to be with his people and take care of the little one and Toto, well the Tutor is still trying to teach DG magic.

But not all is okay in the O.Z. and when one ‘witch’ falls...there is always another to take its place. This time in the form of the Xela the Heartless who is quietly forming a small
resistance of her own…

We need..Viewers Raw and Kalm for future plot help.

It is 2001, and Wizarding Britain is ripped in two.

The Trio’s hunt for Horcruxes hasn’t yielded success since the destruction of Slytherin’s locket in 1997. The Ministry is entering its sixth month of being controlled by the Death Eaters. Under Minister William Travers, personal liberties are at an all-time low and Muggleborns are practically slaves. At Hogwarts, the Carrows wreak havoc on the student body, with Headmistress Umbridge’s guidance and blessings. As they find themselves, one-by-one, on the Undesirables list, members of the Order of the Phoenix are moving into Number 12 Grimmauld Place, one of the only places they are safe. Disorder and oppression have become the status quo.

On the other hand, the Purebloods of society have found themselves in a Renaissance. Those who do not help the Death Eaters – or their un-Marked, junior faction, the Reactionary Federation – are taking to their legally established superiority with Golden Age decadence. Parties, marriages, and grandiose displays of wealth and power are commonplace. The Death Eaters and members of the Reactionary Federation, on the other hand, take their newfound power and use it to advance the Dark Lord’s aims amongst the populace. Whether they do so through laws, abuses of power, or outright terrorism depends on the person, but they make it known that there is a new order in the world, and that it will not suffer challengers.

Rent Asunder is a new Harry Potter RPG on InsaneJournal, opening on January 21st. We are AU post-HBP and, although we incorporate elements of the plot from DH, we do not use the same timeline and do not consider the epilogue. We’re seeking new players who are interested in character development within a larger plot. Most roles are still open, including many major characters and many characters with a lot of plot attached.

THE EARTH IS DYING...

What was once a paradise is now a hell: barren, polluted, the air too toxic on most days to breathe without a mask, the oceans and rivers a mess of sludge and waste. Even the sea level has risen as icecaps have melted, flooding the coasts and wiping islands off the map. Only one large continent, Le’raana, remains fairly inhabitable—as long as you remain under the shelter of an electromagnetic dome.

While many people have fled the Earth and taken to space to find a new home, some civilizations stubbornly remain. The two main players are Aedolis, a technological tyranny obsessed with control that is directly behind the degradation of the Earth, and Teinar, a hidden city struggling to survive on Earth, resist Aedolis’ rule, and desperately searching to find a way to undo the damage that has been done.

As for those cultures that have opted to flee, one—called Seruna— orbits the galaxy in a series of space stations while the other, Edanith, has colonized a terraforming Mars. Though spread out across the galaxy these civilizations still keep in close contact with one another—though not necessarily because they want to. Edanith wages war against Aedolis and targets Seruna and Aedolis both for their mages—valuable resources to a country that enslaves and uses them—while Aedolis fights back against Edanith and works to absorb any people it can come into contact with. Meanwhile, the shady Thanatos Inc. conducts its inhumane experiments, forging a tight partnership with the two warring nations for its own benefit.

OOC INFORMATION

Remnants of the Earth is an original sci-fi fantasy RPG based off of the game Spirits of the Earth and set over five thousand years into the future from that setting. However, you do not need to be familiar with SotE to be able to play here at RotE—the game is meant to stand on its own.

Spirits of the Earth is a high fantasy role-playing game where literally anything is possible. Set on a very future Earth after the collapse of civilization as we today know it—or even the very destruction and rebirth of the Earth itself, depending on who you ask—the game centers around the large and diverse continent of Le’raana and the various beings that live there. Healed from the scars the wars and technologies of the past inflicted upon it, from a bird’s eye view all might seem peaceful and serene, but that is far from the case, for already history is beginning to repeat itself in the form of wars, greed, racial and religious conflict, and political corruption. And even though the old technologies are dead they could still pose a threat, for scattered throughout Le’raana and even the rest of the world lie ancient ruins and relics from the civilizations of the past, and some of these relics could potentially prove dangerous, lest the people of the new Earth make the same mistakes their ancestors did…

A fun, active, friendly, drama-free and advertisement-free community that has been going strong for six and a half years with no hiatuses or shut downs. Needless to say, you don't have to worry about it dying! All players are welcome, as well. If you have a story to tell, come on in! New people are loved.
A diverse and open setting that allows players to participate in shaping SotE's unique world and culture. Many of the lands and countries in SotE's setting have been suggested by the players, and players are allowed to submit their own races, religions, and even plants and animals to the site. The game is in a constant state of change and growth, and what you do does matter! There's a little something for everyone here with settings ranging from the cryptic but misunderstood country of Necromantia and the militaristic and advanced, magic-hating country of Connlaoth to the rich Southern deserts, lush Yoreiq isles, haunted Adelan brothel, and everything in between.

January 1st, 2006.
Experiments at The Compound begin.
Last year, twenty-four volunteers were selected to take part in a social experiment. They would give up one year of their life, to science. Upon completing the experiment, they would be rewarded handsomely.

For one year, they would disappear from their lives. They would tell family, work, and friends only that they were going on a Pilgrimage, and they would be gone for one year. On December 31st, they would leave their lives, and be taken to a secret place referred to only as The Compound. A large block of property and mansion, completely blocked off and barricaded away from the outside world.

No phones, or cellphones. No television, no radio. No newspapers. No letters. And no leaving, for one year. Just twenty very different individuals, all selected for very different reasons, living together, no matter what. Could you do it? It seemed very simple, at the time. Everything they needed would be provided... all they had to do was give up a year, and get used to hidden cameras over their shoulders. It would be worth it.

What they weren't told, was that it would be a simple social observation. It would be a study, not only of how strangers would adapt to their surroundings and live together, but of how different people would react to extreme and high-stress situations.

Everything starts off fine and dandy. The days go by, and just as everyone is starting to get comfortable, that's when weird things begin to happen. Subtle changes, at first. For several days, the temperature in the house cannot be controlled, leaving parts of the house at sky-high temperatures. Then nothing. Then it seems like in the middle of the night, walls and hallways are changing, revealing rooms that no one seems to remember.

Wanted: a few people for a private sl group set around a pub they all regularly go to for happy hour so there's plenty of room for creativity and character growth without the restrictions of a standard community.
